SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE ....

For once, the weather forecast was right and conditions were brutal, especially for the later starters, at the Open Championship.

Jim Furyk won his "match" comfortably enough, but had a real chance in the outright market, before being caught up in the delays around the 10th hole, which scuppered his chances. After just making consecutive birdies, he was forced to sit around for 30 mins before teeing off, at the incredibly difficult start to the back nine.

Greg Norman, who recently married Chris Evert, leads the field by two strokes and would be, at 53 yo, the oldest Major winner in history. He currently trades at 4.50 on the exchanges, with an amazing £1845 matched at odds of 999-1 ! Infact, four of the top ten in the betting have been matched at 1000.0 at Betfair.

The wind is already blowing this morning at Birkdale and it will not be much easier today, fun to watch though and I am hopeful of finding a couple of winners !

SATURDAY .............

OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF

Conditions are going to be horrendous today and are expected to be at their worst between 14.00 -16.00 (UK time) this afternoon, with swirling winds of up to 50mph . There are already some huge scores being posted on course with, for example, Lee Westwood +5 after just 7 holes play this morning. not one of the 21 players on course is under par and just five are level.

Only the strongest (mentally ) will survive today and the ability to hit the ball low will be key. Harrington and Furyk are both good wind players and would be my favourites at the moment, but is terribly hard to get involved in the outright market for more than minimal stakes.

When the tournament was last played here, the worst day weather wise was also the saturday and the average score was 77.5, Tiger Woods shot a 77, Jim Furyk an incredible 72. I am sure that he will go well today and will be less concerned about what the British weather can throw at him than most other players.

He is paired today with last week's winner Graeme McDowell, the lad from Northern Ireland will be used to the wind of course, but it is incredibly difficult to play at the top of your game for two weeks in a row, especially in such conditions and he is bound to be feeling the effects. I will take Slim Jim to beat him this afternoon and a very small outright bet.

1.5 points Furyk to win outright 11.5 exchanges.
6.5 points Furyk to beat McDowell 1.90 exchanges ...... 1.83 general quote
.

Good Luck.

FRIDAY EMAIL ...........

Not all correct today, but three from four produced a very nice profit and for some reason, the odds on Celtic increased throughout the afternoon, ending at circa 2.17 !!

That makes six winning football bets in a row this week, whatever the size of your bankroll, at around $3 per day, can you afford not to subscribe to the Predictuwin newsletter?

FRIDAY JULY 18TH

I have four selections today, but am going to keep my comments brief, as the golf bets get under way at lunchtime.

IRELAND
DIVISION 1
MONAGHAN UNITED - LIMERICK

The visitors are my strongest bet of the day. They have signed an incredible 16 players in the mid season transfer window and along with a lot of off the pitch changes, they have gone from a club heading nowhere fast, to one full of ambition. The confidence at Limerick is sky high at present and so it should be, they have not conceded a single goal in over six hours and have collected ten points from a possible twelve, including away wins at the top two sides in the division. The last, at leaders Shelbourne, was particularly noteworthy, as they won 2-0, playing almost 50 minutes with ten men !

They now sit 13 points off the top of the table, with exactly half the season still to play, their next handful of games are against teams below them in the table and if they are to get involved in the promotion race, which is their stated aim, they have to win fixtures like tonight's.

Monaghan have not scored in four of their last six, including their last two starts, infact ,they have notched just 5 on home soil all season, easily the lowest total in the league. Recent performances have shown promise and there may be better to come, but these are two sides heading in different directions at the moment. Hosts will miss the suspended Kevin Williamson, who is key to the left side of their defence.

6.5 points Limerick level ball 1.82 asian line. WON 2-0

CLUB FRIENDLY
SOUTHAMPTON - GLASGOW CELTIC

This is a testimonial game for Claus Lundekvam, who has retired from the game, after missing all of last season. However, the visitors seem to be taking the game seriously, it is live on television, they will have 8-10,000 supporters at the match and have insisted that Saints can make only limited substitutions. It was originally the intention that Southampton would use a number of guest players, but Celtic were unhappy with that. However, they have agreed that their hosts can use three such players (non registered), who will be Lundekvam, Matt le Tissier ( about 15 kilos overweight) and Michael Svensson. Like all such games it should be high scoring, but I feel that the visitors will be treating it far more seriously.

5.5 points Celtic -1/2 ball 1.86 Betfair.WON 2-0

OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF
12.47 TWO BALL JUSTIN ROSE- AARON BADDELEY

Very positive post round interview from Justin Rose, he played in the worst of the conditions and at +4 he is still in the heat of the battle. Rose is now a proven big tournament player on the world stage, especially in the majors, Birkdale has a very special place in his heart, as it is where he burst on the scene as a 19yo a decade ago, he is desperate to go well this week. The British player made par at every hole on the back nine and certainly seemed to handle the dire weather better than Baddeley, who have five bogey's down the straight. These two are likely to play in the worst of the conditions again today and I have to firmly side with Rose.

5.5 Rose to beat Baddeley 1.78 Pinnacle Sports. WON BY 3 STROKES

14.09 THREE BALL LEE WESTWOOD- KJ CHOI- BEN CURTIS

Ben Curtis is a former winner of this event, but has achieved very little since and this looks to be between the other two. Westwood is my choice, he was one of the very few who played the back nine under par in the morning and that says a huge amount about his confidence at present , that , being +5 after three holes, +6 at the turn, he could easily have let things slip, but knuckled down and fought hard. He was unlucky with the putter and had a lot of birdie putts, so his score could have been even better, I expect this to level out today.

4.5 points Westwood to win his three ball 2.10 general quote. LOST

Good Luck.

TGIF ................

I like Friday's they always offer promise of the weekend ahead and the winners we have still to find !

Hopefully, I have already made a start, with four selections on the email service today, two football and two golf match bets.

Talking of golf, conditions look much better at Royal Birkdale this morning, but scoring remains very tough. Early starters yesterday had the worst of the weather and could easily do so again today, as they go out late, with conditions set to deteriorate through the day. This is all down to the luck of the draw, whatever you do in life, a little good fortune always helps !

Some world class players were made to look poor yesterday and posted huge scores, as I type, only one player is under par for the tournament, the golf course and UK weather is definitely leading at the moment.

Back later.

As is normal on a friday, there are offers available, if any of you are interested in joining the newsletter service, send me an email through the website (link) and I will get back to you.

TODAY'S EMAIL SELECTION .........

I had several ideas today, but have decided to go with just the one selection, about which I am very confident.

UEFA CUP QUALIFICATION
CLIFTONVILLE - FC COPENHAGEN

There is a huge class differential here, as discussed yesterday, the N.I standard is poor and it is hard to make a case for Cliftonville being any better than third best in that league. It was only last year that they won their first ever European cup tie, which came in the Intertoto Cup against lowly Latvian opposition. After a good start to last season, they fell away at the end of the campaign and still appear to be suffering the effects. On Monday , they were absolute hammered 7-0 at home by Ipswich Town, yes, it was a friendly, but Cliftonville put out a strong side and were "up for the game". Their play at times was suicidal and very naive.

They have a lot of problems, with four key players missing and are very short in midfield , their coach is concerned and worried about a repeat of Monday's debacle. Certainly, such a heavy defeat, would not have done much for the confidence of the part timers, facing another accomplished team so soon afterwards.

FCK have taken their strongest possible squad, including new signing Thomas Kristensen, the Danish International having joined from Nordsjaeland earlier in the week, they are hopeful that the paperwork will be completed in time for him to play. Three injured players, including Jesper Gronkjaer, remained in Denmark. This is a classy outfit, they have been domestic champions five times this miilenium and were in the group stages of the Champions League in 2006 and were eliminated in the 3rd qualification round by Benfica last year. They are one of the better teams currently in the competition and should win ,with the minimum of fuss.

7.5 points FC Copenhagen -1.25 ball asian line 1.82. result ...won 4-0

Good Luck.

THURSDAY .........

As advised, I put four selections on the email service yesterday, two will not be decided for a couple of days, but both football bets won and, following on from Llanelli on tuesday, means that we are in tip top form on our premium sport.

Very unusually for the newsletter, I have previewed just one football match today, but it is a confident and massive, 7.5 point selection.

I am sure that most of you are doing well punting wise at present, you should be, with the bookmakers offering odds on so many matches, where team news and motivation is unclear, at least when they set their quotes. If not, they maybe you need a little help.

Good luck with your bets today.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

WEDNESDAY MORNING UPDATE ..........

Llanelli won for us yesterday and I hope that some of you got involved.

I have previewed four events on today's email and have some strong ideas/selections at very rewarding odds. The daily newsletter is sent out every morning, normally around 11am (uk time) and always before midday, it has made HUGE returns for subscribers see here and is also a darn good read !

Many of you have been reading the blog for two years or more and know that I consistently "produce the goods". It is unfortunate that almost all my output is now solely on the newsletter, but the daily rate is very reasonable and it offers fantastic value for money, especially compared to similar products.

Good luck with your bets today !

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ..............

FIRST QUALIFICATION ROUND
LLANELLI - VENTSPILS

Ventspils are the Latvian champions and will have an edge in fitness and, almost certainly in technical ability. However, last year at this stage, they met previous Welsh champions TNS and lost the first leg 3-2, they won the return 2-1, going through on the away goals rule. TNS were very disappointed not to have progressed and their boss at the time, has been helping Llanelli prepare for tonight.

Hosts have obviously found a little money and were only the second Welsh side to turn full time in 2006, this paid almost immediate dividends and they did the domestic double last season, including winning their first ever Premier League title. They have prepared in a professional manner, returning early from vacation and going out to Latvia to watch the opposition. They have a very experienced squad, with several players used to the big stage, including former Welsh internationals, Matthew Jones (Leeds United) and Jason Bowen ( Birmingham /Reading) . Llanelli are certainly not a worse side than TNS and getting a handicap start, at home to the defensively minded visitors , who would settle for a point now, seems too good to miss.

6 points Llanelli +1/4 ball 1.91 asian line.

Good Luck.

A late night in Vegas ..........

Finally, after 15 hours play on day 7 of the WSOP Final event, we have our final table and what will become known as the "November Nine".

After a good nights sleep, these players can get busy talking to sponsors and signing some lucrative contracts to go along with the $32m, they are already playing for at the table. All are guaranteed prize money of at least 900k, with the winner taking home over $9m. They are ....

Dennis Phillips - 26.295,000 in chips
Craig Marquis - 10,210,000
Ylon Schwartz - 12,525,000
Scott Montgomery - 19,690,000
Darus Suharto - 12,520,000
David 'Chino' Rheem - 10,230,000
Ivan Demidov - 24,400,000
Kelly Kim - 2,620,000
Peter Eastgate - 18,375,000

Tenth place finisher was Dean Hamrick, who took home $591,869 and it is not everyday, that you can feel sympathy for someone that has just won nearly $600k !

Blinds are 120k-240k, with 30k antes, so Kelly Kim will have to get busy very quickly .

Back later.

Monday, July 14, 2008

WSOP ........ and then there were 27 !

Only 27 remain in the WSOP Main Event, which means that we have said goodbye to 6817 original entries, one, I understand, was 95 years old !

Also included in that list are Phil Hellmuth, who managed to get his one-orbit penalty overturned, but it failed to help him and Mike Matusow, who can now restart the hard luck stories (see yesterday's post) , after being sent home after the following hand......

Mike Matusow Eliminated in 30th Place ($193,000)
And this one is gonna hurt for a while. Paul Snead raised to 200,000 and Mike Matusow reraised to 660,000 from the big blind. Snead called, and they saw a flop. Both players checked, and when the came on the turn Matusow bet 500,000. Snead moved all in, Matusow called, and that's when Mike learned that his had been overtaken by Snead's . The came on the river, and with that Mike Matusow's run in the Main Event came to an end.(WSOP official site)

Today, they will play until just nine players are left. Currently leading the way is Craig Marquis with 11.3m in chips, followed by Dennis Phillips 11.15m and Tiffany Michelle, the only remaining female in the field, with a shade under 10m.

Short stack is Michael Carroll with 875k, but only three of the field are under 2m and are therefore, within a couple of double ups of the leaders, this must be the most closely bunched field in recent history. All 27 are guaranteed $257,334, 18th spot is worth over $334k and if making, what is now being called the "November 9", a minimum $900k.

Last man out yesterday was Nikolay Losev and he cannot be feeling very happy with himself this morning. He was sitting with around 3.25m in chips and with only one more player set to be eliminated, before play ended for the day, he managed to get all his money into the pot, pre flop, in two hands, holding Q-3 in the first and 8-3 in the second! This is how to win a quarter of a million dollars and wake up feeling like a loser !

I am loathe to be critical, but .............

First up, let me say well done to Bet 365, they are the only company I have seen so far, that have made any attempt to price up something from the WSOP Main Event.

They have come up with a list of outright odds, but to be honest, you would have to be mad to get involved. Their book already has has a circa 17% profit margin, quoting just 27 of the 79 runners, on top of which, they get to hold onto your money for four months, with the final table being delayed until November !

There are thousands of poker players/gamblers following the action overnight, they could have taken a group of 5-6 players and set prices on the "chip leader", at the end of the next day's action. Surely that, or something similar, is far more interesting and at least you can be sure that every runner is trying.

Good luck.

PREDICTUWIN ..............

Yesterday I wrote: " plus two strong football bets, including one where we have news I doubt few others have, if they do, it is unlikely that they realise the value of it and win or lose today, it is something that we will make money from in the coming weeks."

I have to be a little vague, for obvious reasons, but this concerned a team, who have a big fitness edge over almost every other side that they will face in the coming weeks. They won easily yesterday, very easily, the match was over as a contest inside 20 minutes and I expect them to win again and again, until things even out fitness wise . I might put them up as a selection one more time, but subscribers can and might choose to follow them a little longer, knowing that the infomation is spot on.

On the email service, I am not just trying to tip winners, but also give a few clues and guidelines for the future. This is in addition to the profit that the newsletter generates, it is very unlikely to make you a millionaire, but it could provide you with a decent second income. If you had bet every single selection to suggested stakes, for $25 units, you would have made a profit of $11,265 since late September, I use that date, as every single newsletter since then, is archieved on the website www.predictuwin.com.

Over an average week, I preview between 25-30 sporting events, with a full write up, which can often run to 300 words each. This offers real value for money and I am confident that it is the best service of it's kind on the internet. Take a look !

Good Luck.

WSOP ......... DOWN TO 79

We are down to 79 runners in the WSOP main event, all chasing the first prize of over $9m.

Actually the winner can probably add at least $5m in endorsements to that number, some could double or treble it. If one of the two remaining female players won, the sky would be the limit !

The tournament is very "top heavy", with over 50% of the prize money going to the final table, however, all remaining players are guaranteed a $77,200 payday.

Mark Ketteringham leads the way with 5.7m in chips, Tiffany Michelle, seen right with Mike "The Mouth, is in third spot with 3.8m and would surely be Espn's dream winner (Mike is the one wearing glasses). Short stack is Chris Zaph with 360k, Lisa Parsons, the other remaining member of the fairer sex, has a few more options with 630k, but not many.

Two really big names left, Phil Hellmuth has 890k and starts tomorrow with a one-orbit penalty, after a typical blow up, in the last hand of the day, on a featured table, when every camera on the room is on him, now that's a surprise !

Mike Matusow has more room to manoeuvre with 1.2m, he was very low profile all day long, until this hand took place (you can read a summary of all the day's action on the WSOP site) ...

Matusow Finds the Ten-Five
Sean Davis opened with a raise to 75,000 before Matusow shoved over the top for a total of 545,000. The action folded around and Davis quickly called. Matusow: Davis: "I found the ten-five ladies and gentlemen!" said Matusow, displaying a quiet confidence that he could find his way out of the mess he'd just gotten himself into. The crowd were on their feet as the flop fell and Matusow spiked a pair to roars of delight from his fans! The turn was the the and river the , as the chants of "Mikey! Mikey! Mikey!" broke out around the room as Matusow found a remarkable double-up to jump up to 1.1 million in chips. "I shifted gears at the right time baby! I feel GOOD!"

Matusow is famous for bemoaning his bad luck, you have to gamble at some stage, but he will have to keep quiet for an hour or two after that one, although that is unlikely to last too long !

SATURDAY UPDATE .........

I cannot say that this week has been great, it is impossible to win all the time, we all know that and after ten winning weeks from the last twelve, I was due a small downturn.

Having said that, I had a big winner last night at odds of 5.50, which clawed back some of the previous day's losses, so maybe we are back on track already. I have previewed three events today on the email service, one is a very juicy priced selection, plus two strong football bets, including one where we have news I doubt few others have, if they do, it is unlikely that they realise the value of it and win or lose today, it is something that we will make money from in the coming weeks.

This is the true value of the newsletter, yes, it makes fantastic profits see here, but it also contains information which will guide you towards future winners.

Good Luck with your bets today.

DOWN TO JUST 189 !

Only 189 players remain at the end of Day 4 , of the WSOP Main Event, which means that we have waved goodbye to 6,655 hopefuls, who were all dreaming of the $9m first prize.

All remaining are guaranteed a $38,600 payday, but that is chicken feed, compared to the riches on offer.

Jeremy Joseph leads the way with almost 2.2m in chips, but plenty of big names remain in contention, including Gus Hansen 1.36m, Allen Cunningham 1.27m, Jeff Madsen 770k, Phil Hellmuth 570k and Mike Matusow 550k.

We said goodbye to former champion Johnny Chan and Evelyn Ng, who was the most high profile female player remaining.

Well up the leaderboard is Shawn Sheikan with 1.5m , he is famous mainly for his two "run in's" with Matusow at the 2005 event and on High Stakes Poker, with Hellmuth also involved in the latter, if you saw either incident, you will remember them. Expect fireworks if we get a rematch !

For those of you that are in the "internet poker is rigged" camp, take a few minutes to read through the highlights of yesterday's action on the WSOP site, there were plenty of runner-runner blows delivered. Live or online, **** happens !

Good Luck.

WORLD SERIES OF POKER ...........

I have not commented at all on the WSOP this year, but will be following the tournament down to the final table, which is not being played until November this year.

Many people have complained about this, but one thing is for sure, in addition to the massive prize money, the winner collects over $9m and the final eight will all become dollar millionaires, anyone at the final table, will also be able to negotiate a very juicy sponsorship deal and has four months to do so.

6844 players all put up $10,000 to enter and we are now down to a field of just 474, each is guaranteed a payday of at least $27k, but most will not be happy now, unless there is at least one zero on the end of that figure.

We still have some big names left, with Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow, Johnny Chan, Gus Hansen and Allen Cunningham all in there fighting. The TV companies will be praying that one , or more of these makes it through to November, guess that their dream final table would be three of the above, plus the glamorous Evelyn Ng and a couple of internet qualifiers.

Good Luck.

TONIGHT'S FOOTBALL ...........

AYR UNITED - PARTICK THISTLE

This is an interesting match, Partick are a division higher and are not considered amongst the favourites this year, the general feeling is that they are several players short of a promotion challenge, especially in the striking department. Division 2 Ayr look set to put in a big push this season and have been busy in the transfer market, adding 6-7 players to an already strongish squad.

These are fairly close neighbours and they met three times last season, all ended 2-1, two of them to Ayr, including a pre season win at Partick, the other two were cup games and even in the match they lost, United were ahead. Partick have a slight advantage in that they have already played a match, winning 3-1 at English lowly non- league side Blyth over the weekend, however, this is more than offset by the fact that they are playing two games this evening, with the squad split between the two games, the second of which is at Stranraer.

Here is the group that will travel to Ayr :

Craig Hinchcliffe, John Robertson, Marc Twaddle, David Rowson, Simon Donnelly, Stephen McKeown, Paul Paton, Kevin McKinlay, Ian Maxwell, Ryan McStay, Pedram Ardalany, Ryan Scully, Simon Lynch, Mark Begg and Ciaran McDermott.

It includes about half the side that started the last regular season game. Under the circumstances and given their record in the fixture, with Ayr probably still considering Partick a "scalp" and getting a handicap start, this looks something to get stuck into.

6.5 points Ayr +1/4 ball 1.85 asian line.

Good Luck.

THURSDAY .............

The week has started very quietly, but interest will build from here on in.

I have put three strong football selections on the email service today, including previews of two pre season friendly matches, which I consider to be fantastic betting mediums. With a little homework, there is the opportunity to get a real advantage over the bookmakers in these fixtures, who, half the time are guessing about team line ups and motivation.

For example, today, I have news of one club where only half the first team squad have travelled.

Unfortunately, the lines move very quickly on these games, but if possible, I will post one of these on the blog later today.

It is an exciting time of year and I an currently working on my outright selections for the UK domestic leagues, where last year, we had such unbelievable success. You can re-read those lower league previews on this link.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE !

Nadal - Federer meeting number 18 lived up to expectation and then some, with even the weather playing it's part in the drama, taking the players off court when the scores were exactly level in the fifth set, just to let the tension build a little more.

Rafa's victory was huge for me and subscribers, I was with him pre tournament and coming on the back of an all Williams Women's final, where we backed both Serena and Venus, it put the icing on a very good weekend. Those were the only three outright bets given at Wimbledon and the email service has now made over 450 points profit since September (here) , all daily newsletters are archived and MASSIVE returns have been made (read more).

Back in late May, I told you that we expected to make good returns on the email service through the summer and in the six weeks since then, we are over 90 points ahead of the game and we have been unlucky ! 90 points is around 2.14 points profit every single day, a $20 unit stake would have won you $1800 and most subscribers would have paid under $2 per day, to receive the email in their inbox every morning.

Important message:

At the moment, you can sign up to receive the newsletter for either one month, three months or on an annual basis, actually, there is even a 7 day trial option, but, to be honest, that doesn't offer great value for money. However, from August 16, the official start of the English domestic football season, we will be moving to a three month minimum. This is the reason, three months gives a fair reflection of the service, in gambling, nothing is guaranteed, but we would always expect to make decent returns over a thirteen week period, it takes a lot of variance/ luck out of the equation, which can always come into play over a single month.

You can still sign up for a single month, at current rates, if you want to try out the service, but be quick, these rates are set to be increased shortly and the option removed overnight on August 15th. The reason behind this, is that following my huge success with the outright bets on the English leagues last season, I do not want people signing up just to get this information, without paying extra for it. There, I am being honest.

However, I will always do my best for subscribers, all of whom will be offered the option to renew, extend subscriptions at preferential rates, before the start of the UK football season. That is why I urge you to get onboard now, not only will you be able to sign up at the lower rates, but will then be eligible for future reductions.

Full details are on the website www.predictuwin.com .

Good Luck with your bets today.

SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE ........

I have just finished today's newsletter and it includes previews of three sporting events, four selections, with both a 7 and 8 point bet. So, a very exciting day ahead , hopefully, not an expensive one !

Unfortunately, the weather looks set to play a very big part in the tennis today, "as the crow flies", I am not too far from Wimbledon and seem to get exactly the same conditions, with about a 20 minute delay. It has been overcast, very windy, with rain showers all morning and the prospects of a full day's play, are slim. However, this is the UK and conditions can change very quickly, so, fingers crossed.

The Federer- Nadal series is set to run and run, this is already their 18th meeting and their sixth grand slam final and we have a fantastic match in prospect, if it is half as good as last year, miss it at your peril !

We are going to have some very tired footballers this coming season, Euro 2008 only ended last weekend and many clubs have already started pre-season friendlies, of course, the big names will still be on vacation, but their break will be very short. Even some of the "lesser" sides, will have had little off time, Hibernian for example, played their last SPL game on May 22 and have an Intertoto game today, just six weeks later and they have been training for two of those!

Anyone interested in joining the email service, can find full details on the website www.predictuwin.com and if signing up before 15.00 pm today, I will send a copy of today's newsletter, which will not be charged from your subscription.

Enjoy the sport today and good luck with your bets.

SATURDAY UPDATE .....

I have just sent today's email out, having previewed four events, including three football matches.

Tomorrow looks very exciting and I am planning two 7 point + bets on the newsletter. If any of you are considering joining the service, send me an email using this link and I will try to get you the best deal possible.

Plenty to watch today, with the fascinating Williams final and the start of the Tour de France and some very interesting football matches, but let's be honest, any match is exciting with a small financial interest.

Finally, some success for Britain in the tennis, with 14 yo Laura Robson in the final of the Girl's event at Wimbledon, she looks a real talent and is 2-3 years younger than almost every other girl in the tournament, which is a fantastic achievement.

Good Luck with your bets today.

EARLY SATURDAY MORNING ...........

Colorado struggled home 4-0, my other football selection won by exactly the same scoreline and both tennis bets won at odds of 1.85 and 2.13. So, four from four for subscribers yesterday and over 20 points profit.

Members of the service are also going to enjoy watching the Women's final at Wimbledon this afternoon, as we are on both Williams sisters at combined odds of 2.25 !

There are over 9 months of results and daily emails archived on the website ww.predictuwin.com this is not a get rich quick scheme, the aim is consistent profit month in and month out. Having said that, the newsletter has made HUGE returns for subscribers, take a look.

Good Luck.

TONIGHT'S FOOTBALL ...........

I am already two for two (winners) on the email service today, hopefully, we can keep the run going tonight ...........

USA .... MLS
COLORADO RAPIDS - NEW YORK RED BULLS

Big day in the US, with everyone celebrating Independence Day, this match is a sell out and the game will be followed by the biggest firework display in the whole state. This is a great opportunity to build the fan base and the Rapids have made the most of it in recent years with a fine 10-1-1 record on July 4th starts. They are strong at home and have collected 10 points from their last 5 matches, a win tonight will take them into one of the playoff places and will be ultra keen to get the points, as they are not home again for another three weeks.

Red Bull are struggling this season with just one win and six goals on the road, they put out the fringe players for a cup match at third tier Crystal Palace Baltimore in midweek, but were still left shocked by the two goal defeat. I like the hosts and if any of you are looking to get involved "in running", 14 of Colorado's 20 goals have come in the final 30 minutes, so an inplay bet could be worthwhile, certainly if we are level at the break.

6.5 points Colorado -1/4 ball 1.83 asian line.

Good Luck.

FRIDAY UPDATE ..........

Small profit from the four selections yesterday, all of which were posted on the blog. I have previewed five events on the email service today, including a strong early bet for the weekend action.

Weather wise, it looks far better at Wimbledon today and fingers crossed, there should be no rain breaks. There can be few more frustrating things in sport, than waiting for the covers to be removed at SW 19.

For the past week or so, we have been heading towards Serena-Venus and Federer-Nadal finals and could almost have cut out the matches inbetween. Let's hope that both games, live up to expectation.

I mean no disrespect to Schuettler or Safin, infact, the Russian is my favourite sportsman, but it would be something of an anti climax, if we did not get the big showdown in both Singles events.

Having said that, I am hoping for some entertainment today and Marat is bound to do something to make us smile.

I will post a selection on here later in the day, please check back.

Good Luck.

TONIGHT'S LATE GAME .....

MLS

REAL SALT LAKE - HOUSTON DYNAMO

Big game for both sides with the winner going above LA Galaxy to the top of the division. This will be a first for Real and a huge incentive. They are in reasonable shape with just one loss in six starts and are undefeated at home (4-4-0), where they concede very few goals, only Colorado have allowed less.

Houston are two time defending champion, but have not really fired yet this season, they have just two points from a possible 9 and have won just once on the road all season. They played in the US Cup on tuesday, just 48 hours ago, losing after extra time to Charleston, they did field a "b" team, but some lesser first team players took to the field late in the game and played the final 30 minutes. Those are unlikely to be in the best shape tonight, with the long distance travel being the biggest concern. The star names were left in Houston to rest ahead of tonight, but it is hardly a positive consideration. Also, the fact that they have been eliminated from the cup, by a US Div 1 side, for the second year running, can hardly have helped their confidence.

Hosts will be very motivated and I do not see them losing, going to take them to win, with an additional cover on the draw, which given the respective records of the teams, RSL have drawn 50% at home, Dynamo 47% of all starts, is competitively priced.

5 points Real Salt Lake -1/4 ball 2.20
2 points draw 3.45 exchanges.

Good Luck.

IRISH FOOTBALL

DIVISION 1
DUNDALK - ATHLONE TOWN

Dundalk put in a truely dire performance in the home loss to Limerick, which was their second defeat in a row. Boss John Gill was left speechless afterwards, but the following day said ...

“ We were just inept and we weren’t up for the game, and I feel our focus wasn’t what it should have been.

“But, I’m definitely not going to panic, because, as I said, there’s enough panic around Dundalk when you lose two in a row, it’s a crisis, and rightly so, because there’s high expectations here and there’s high standards after being set. It’s not good enough, and I’m not going to accept it, and nor will the club.

“The club is doing everything in its power. The players get treated properly, like royalty. They get treated, I would safely say, better than any squad, certainly in the First Division, and probably a lot better than some of the teams in the Premier. So, it’s about time people gave a little bit more back, and maybe not get caught up in their own little universe.”

He has made it clear that all places are up for grabs and we can expect a fired up performance this evening. To be fair, this last defeat came on the back of a good showing in the previous game, arguably the best of the season. They will be boosted tonight by the return of John Flanaghan and playmaker David Cassidy, from suspension, much of the creative output goes through Cassidy , which will give them more attacking options. This is all about the home team, they are a much better side than Athlone and a two goal win will take the hosts back to the top of the table. They will take heart from the h2h record, having won the last 8 meetings, six of the last 7 by two or more goals, the last 4 here, all by three or more goals. They won the reverse fixture 3-0 just nine weeks ago. Home win.

6.5 points Dundalk -1.25 goals asian line 1.85.

Good Luck.

SERENA WALKS ON WATER ...........

JIE ZHENG - SERENA WILLIAMS

These two have met once previously, the meeting was here in 2004 and Zheng won just 4 games, a similar outcome is on the cards today. Serena has been very impressive at the championships and has simply too much power for the chinese player, the american has been her ultra aggressive best so far and will mix things up far more, than anyone Zheng has faced to date.

Zheng's game is based on accuracy and making as few errors as possible, she has made fewer than the other three semi-finalists, however, she will not have as much time today and will struggle to break her opponents serve. Williams is not making too many errors herself and is +15 and +21 ( winners over errors) in her last two starts. I think that this will be quick and with a soild start, Zheng has got off to a flyer in all matches so far, Serena should cover this handicap fairly easily.

5.5 points Williams -4.5 games 1.80 William Hill ........1.73 Boyle/ Paddy Power/Bet Fred

Back Later.

THURSDAY PLANS ..............

THURSDAY JULY 3RD

I am going to post four selections on the blog today, all taken directly from the email.

WIMBLEDON WOMEN'S SEMI-FINALS

We are in a very strong position in the outright market, with bets on both Williams sisters and I fully expect them to be facing each other in the final on saturday.

ELENA DIMENTIEVA - VENUS WILLIAMS

This might take a little longer, Elena was up to her old tricks on Tuesday, leading 6-1, 5-1 she found a way to lose the second set, after also blowing a big lead in the tie break. However, she is generally playing well and has won a lot of games on return of serve, 33 so far, an incredible 6.6 per match. Venus has not been pushed so far and the pattern has been the same in every match, struggle through the first set, narrowly win it, get an early break in the second and see the match out. Her serve has got her out of a lot of tricky situations, Tanasugarn had ten break points in the last round, she cannot afford to be so generous today . If she is, Dementieva, the top seed left in the tournament, will take advantage. I can only see Venus, who is 56-7 at Wimbledon progressing, but a third set looks a value option.

3 points Williams to win 2-1 sets 4.80 exchanges.

Good Luck.

TONIGHT'S FOOTBALL .........

COPA LIBERTADORES FINAL SECOND LEG

FLUMINESE- LDU QUITO

Both are looking for a place in history, hosts as first time winners, LDU as the first ever side from Ecudor to be crowned champions. LDU hold a 4-2 lead from the first leg and could have put this tie to bed already, they led 4-1 and could have scored any number of goals in the second half, with Flu keeper Fernando Henrique, producing a MOTM performance. By the way, away goals do not count here, so any two goal win for the hosts, will take the match into extra time and then penalties.

Fluminese need to score two goals at least and will name a very attack minded side, they will be cheered on by 100,000 fans in the famous Maracana stadium. LDU will have some vital experience of what to expect, having played here in the group stage, losing 1-0. Hosts are free scoring at home, with 16 goals in six CL ties, but might not have things their own way this evening.

They will have to push forward and Quito seem ideally suited to playing on the break, they have two lightening quick wide men in Joffre Guerron and Luis Bolanos and have scored in the away leg of all matches at the knockout stage. I feel that they will score again tonight and defensively, they are the stronger of the two sides, this is going to be tough for the home team, unless they get an early strike. Ecuadorian football is on the up and can get a massive boost with a positive result for Quito.

LIKELY LINE UPS ....

Fluminense : Fernando Henrique, Luiz Alberto, Gabriel, Thiago Silva, Junior Cesar, Ygor, Arouca, Thiago Neves, Dario Conca, Cicero and Washington. Coach: Renato Gaucho.

Liga de Quito: Jose Cevallos, Jairo Campos, Norberto Araujo, Diego Armando Calderon, Joffre Guerron, Enrique Vera, Patricio Urrutia, Paul Ambrossi, Luis Bolanos, Damian Manso and Claudio Bieler. Coach: Edgardo Bauza.

6 points Quito +1.25 ball asian line 2.0......... now 1.82

Good Luck.

WEDNESDAY'S SPORTING ACTION ...........

Big day today, with the Men's quarter finals at Wimbledon and the Copa Libertadores final second leg at the Maracana stadium in Brazil, in front of 100,000 crazed supporters.

Hopefully the weather will not play too big a role in the tennis, the forecast is poor today and it has been overcast all morning, but the rain has not yet arrived. There was a huge television audience for the Murray - Gasquet match on Monday, with over one in six of the population watching, no doubt TV executives will not be too unhappy if Murray's match with Nadal, which is due second on centre court, is delayed a little, to capture the dinner time viewers. Several are probably doing a (mini) rain dance as I type.

I have previewed four events on the email service an equal split between tennis and football, putting up five selections. My form remains very good, with nine winning weeks from the last eleven, full details can be viewed on this link.

I am intending to put a selection on the blog later today, so please check back.

Good Luck.

EURO 2008 ....... The final word .........

Nine Spanish players have been named in the team of the tournament, hard to argue with that, but there are a couple of surprises ..........

UEFA EURO 2008 Team of the Tournament
Goalkeepers:
Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Iker Casillas (Spain), Edwin van der Sar (Netherlands).

Defenders: Bosingwa (Portugal), Philipp Lahm (Germany) !!!!!, Carlos Marchena (Spain), Pepe (Portugal), Carles Puyol (Spain), Yuri Zhirkov (Russia).

Midfielders: Hamit Altıntop (Turkey), Luka Modrić (Croatia), Marcos Senna (Spain), Xavi Hernández (Spain), Konstantin Zyryanov (Russia), Michael Ballack (Germany), Cesc Fàbregas (Spain), Andrés Iniesta (Spain), Lukas Podolski (Germany), Wesley Sneijder (Netherlands).

Forwards: Andrei Arshavin (Russia), Roman Pavlyuchenko (Russia), Fernando Torres (Spain), David Villa (Spain).

Good luck.

MONDAY MORNING ...........

The "corners" bet was a winner yesterday and I remain in fantastic form, with the winners flowing like a Richard Gasquet backhand. With six from seven correct over the weekend alone.

Fantastic day of tennis and football action today, with, of course, Wimbledon taking centre stage, I have previewed five events on the email service, including some big priced selections. SUNDAY'S EMAIL IN FULL ......

Here is today's email in full, it has already produced a profit for subscribers, regardless of what happens in the Euro 2008 final. HJK won 3-2, stakes returned, although twice led by two goals. In the MLS game, I not only gave DC and the "over" ,but also suggested five goals was likely, the score 4-1 !

SUNDAY JUNE 29TH

EURO 2008
GERMANY - SPAIN

I have just lost all my notes for today and an not happy, so am typing this quickly and not in a very good mood !

We know these two sides very well after three weeks of action from Euro 2008 and it seems clear that every neutral is cheering for the Spanish. They will be without the injured David Villa, more about that later, but with Cesc Fabregas coming into the side, it is hard to see how they are weakened in any way, shape, or form. Michael Ballack was injured in training on friday and the medical team have been working round the clock, to get him fit, I cannot see any way that he will miss out, on what would be a second major international final, after suspension ruled him out of the 2002 World Cup decider. He should take his place, in what could be a very crowded midfield.

I get an inkling that we might see the best of the Germans, I am hoping that we will see the high tempo display that they put in against Portugal, rather than the lethargic team that took the field against Turkey. This has been the way the tournament has gone so far, with few teams performing well a second time in a row, Russia looked fantastic in the quarters and devoid of energy or ideas against the Spanish. Who, themselves stepped up on a poor showing against Italy, where they quickly run out of a plan "b".

Man for man, Spain are the better team, mentally, the Germans are clearly stronger. We are already on them outright at 5.0 and that is interest enough, if pushed for a selection, extra time would not surprise me this evening.

In the top goalscorer market,Villa leads on 4 goals, with Podolski on 3, Guiza, Schweinsteiger, Klose and Ballack all have two each. We are on Podolski and Klose at huge odds, so also have an interest here, with Villa out and Guiza starting on the bench, we are still in the hunt. A goal for Podolski, or a brace for Klose would give us a share of the spoils and a good payday, which, if the game opens up, is not out of the question.

So, plenty of interest already for us. I will put up one selection though, in a market that we have been following closely through the tournament, namely corners. The slow German central defenders, are happy to concede corners, secure in the knowledge that they have a big height advantage against most teams and a massive one over Spain, the smallest side in the tournament.

Corner wise, they have only outscored Poland (4-3), they conceded at least 7 in the other 4 games, 8 in each of the last three, only averaging 4.2 themselves.

Spain are mean in this department, only conceding 13 all tournament, nine against the Russians in two starts, so just 4 in total ,in games verses Italy, Sweden and Spain . Given that they are likely to have most of the ball tonight, they should again win this market, they will certainly be very wary of giving their opponents any easy dead ball situations, given the huge height differential.

7.5 points Spain to win more corners 1.62 asian line.

FINLAND
VEIKKAUSLIIGA
HJK HELSINKI - RoPS ROVANIEMI

Very quickly here, where I am keeping stakes small, I have received a good word about HJK, who are expected to have a strong finish (no pun intended) to the season. RoPS have started very well, they were widely tipped as relegation favourites and are in midtable at present, they have quite rightly decided to target their winable fixtures, a plan which will now, given the points in the bag, give them a chance of survival, to that end, all eyes are on on their home game with the basement club next week. Huge difference between these two clubs ,as indicated by their playing budgets for the season, with RoPS having just one third of the funds available to HJK.

4.5 points HJK -1 ball 1.76 asian line.

USA
MLS
DC UNITED - LA GALAXY

The two biggest names in US football, David Beckham and Landon Donovan come to Washington and a huge crowd is expected. All who arrive will be expecting goals, as we have the two top scoring offenses (24 and 31 respectively) , facing the leakiest defences (25 and 24). It is difficult not to see this developing into a shoot out.

I told you last week that DC are a team to keep on our side, they are unbeaten in five, with four wins and look firmly back on track.

The Galaxy have all their talent going forward and have scored three or more, six times in 13 starts. At the other end they are conceding almost two, per game. This is almost entirely down to the salary cap, all the money has been spent on, well, you know who and Donovan, the dregs of what is left, on the defence. Their gameplan is clear, you score two, we will score three and so on.

Hosts will be without Mediate, Olsen and Doe, no real concerns there, they are one of the few teams that can compete offensively with LA and at present, look stronger at the back, but not by much !

I have to side with them and the "over" looks a given, five goals this evening would not surprise.

4.5 points DCUnited -1/2 ball 2.10 general quote.
5 points "over" 3 goals 1.98 asian line.

Good Luck.

SUNDAY UPDATE ..........

Nice day yesterday, where, unusually, my email selections were kept to tennis, we were involved in four matches and three produced a profit, almost 11 points in total, we were unfortunate not to record a clean sweep.Selections ....

5 points Youzhny to beat Stepanek 2.44 exchanges. WON

6.5 points Clement to beat Melzer 1.96 exchanges. WON

3.5 points Dulko to beat Dementieva 3.60 exchanges/ 3.65 Pinnacle.
1.5 points Dementieva to win 2-1 sets 4.40 exchanges. LOST 6-7 ,5-7 pretty unlucky Dulko led 4-0 in the first and served for the set.

3 points Wozniacki to beat Jankovic 4.40 exchanges/Pinnacle.
1.5 points Jankovic to win 2-1 sets 4.70 exchanges. WON Wozniacki won the first set, so a profit ensured immediately.

I have kept to our bread and butter today and previewed three football matches, with four selections including a 7.5 point bet, which I am, obviously, confident about. As I type, I am planning to post this on the blog later today, but, as always, this depends on how the market hold up.

The only way to receive all my selections, is to subscribe to the newsletter, it is delivered daily to your inbox, for as little as $2 per day, has made huge profits for subscribers and offers fantantastic value for money, details are on the website www.predictuwin.com .

Good Luck with your bets today.

ANOTHER SHOCK AT WIMBLEDON ? .........

Maybe, but not for subscribers, who amongst four previews today were sent this ...........

JELENA JANKOVIC- CAROLINE WOZNIACKI

I am still not convinced by Jankovic on grass, or maybe any of the Serbians, remember, Ivanovic and Djokovic are already out in the first week and we could have a hat-trick this afternoon.

She has a 29-12 record on grass, but that is mainly down to a 11-3 campaign last year, that is a little misleading, Jankovic did not beat too much and lost as soon as she met someone happy on the surface, Sharapova, Chakvetadze and Bartoli.

So, is Wozniacki comfortable on grass ? I think so. The 17yo Danish (!) player, won a grass court tournament in Liverpool back in 2006 at age 15, beating some proven ATP regulars, she also took the Wimbledon Junior title the same year. This year, during which she has burst into the world top 30, Wozniacki again won Liverpool, beat Kuznetsova at Eastbourne and won two matches here, so is 9-1 on the surface, winning eight in straight sets, including one against a top 5 ranked player. That will do for me and at huge odds we have to chance a little, again, combined with a saver on her to take a set.

3 points Wozniacki to beat Jankovic 4.40 exchanges/Pinnacle.
1.5 points Jankovic to win 2-1 sets 4.70 exchanges.

WOZNIACKI HAS JUST WON THE FIRST SET 6-2 .

If you bet, you need Predictuwin, details here.
