RACING STRASBOURG - METZ FC
Derby game here and definitely no love lost between these two sides. Both will welcome a little relief from league action. Metz are doomed and will be back in Ligue 2 next season, so they will, no doubt, be 100% concentrated on getting one over on their local rivals this evening.They would be my choice for the game getting a 3/4 ball handicap start, with Racing still having survival in the top flight as their priority.
However, I am going to take the "over", there are normally goals in this match up and 7 of the last 8 meetings have produced 2 or more goals, 6 have had 3 or more and the overall average is 3.125 goals.
Racing have had 2 or more in 13 from 16 starts, Metz in 16 from 19, including the last 8. They have met once already this season Strasbourg winning 2-1 in a bad tempered affair in Metz, a match where they were plenty of chances (total 25) at both ends.
