Amazing performance from Padraig Harrington to take the Open Championship for a second year running, the old adage "beware the injured golfer" was never more appropriate. The Irishman plans his year very carefully now, aiming to peak for the big tournaments and the huge prices he traded at on Thursday morning, will never be seen again next to his name. He is certainly no worse than the third best golfer on the planet at the moment and the confidence gained from a second major title, is only going to make him better.
Harrington has got talent, but it is his determination and fantastic work ethic that has got him to another level, he takes his responsibilities as a champion very seriously and is a credit to himself and the game.
