Hosts remain in deep trouble at the foot of the table, six points adrift of safety, despite collecting seven points from their last three home starts, against Lazio, Parma and Napoli.
Genoa remain in good form, just a point off the european spots and have shown terrific character to bounce back from the derby loss to Sampdoria, to win their last two, scoring 7 goals. However, they have big problems in midfield with Matteo Paro and Abdoulay Konko both missing, the two have started 42 league games between them and will be sorely missed.
Vital game for Cagliari and they can keep the good home run going.
