FRANCE: LIGUE 2
ANGERS - LE MANS
I think we will see goals in this match, we have spoken of Le Mans a couple of times and most comments have centred around the fact that they are unpredictable, but have goals in them and their eight league starts have averaged 3.0 goals , 0.63 above the Ligue 2 mean. They have really done incredibly well as the squad had little time to ready themselves for second tier football, after getting a late relegation reprieve. They arrive without long term suspended centre back Khaled Adenon (2-0-0) and striker Fousseyni Cisse (6-3-1), but they have scored twice in each of the games he has missed. Keeper Georgi Makaridze has missed all season so far, the Georgian stopper impressed in a struggling Le Mans side last season, he kept 5 clean sheets in thirteen 2012 starts, just 11 goals in total and four defeats in that sequence, a run which probably saved his team from relegation. Angers look far more prolific upfront this season and did some good business over the summer, defensively they seem a little more suspect and have kept just one cleansheet in ten starts. They are without centrebacks Marc Zoro (4-0-0) and Derek Decamps and with doubts about another in Fabian Boyer ( 8-0-0) and also holding midfielder Vincent Manceau ( 8-0-0) , both of whom are key. They could be short of options in central defence and missing protection for the backline, against a young enthusiastic team with a direct style and goals in them, but which have also conceded two or more in four starts. Goals surely. 1.5 units "over" 2.25 goals 2.00 asian line.
