CARDIFF CITY - BARNSLEY

I like to keep on the right side of an inform striker and after a long barren spell, Cardiff striker Michael Chopra, has returned to form with a vengence. Notching a very fine hat-trick in the 3-2 win over Leicester City, last week.

This is a big game for the Welsh team, 3 points will keep them in 6th place and the final play-off spot, regardless of what happens elsewhere this weekend. They have a very difficult run of fixtures ahead of them and play the 5 teams directly above them in the table, in their next 8 starts.

Boss Dave Jones, has strengthened the squad, with the signings of Simon Walton from Charlton and Iwan Redan from Willem II, they are both likely to see some action tonight.

I have no time to discuss the visitors, suffice to say, they need the points for very different reasons. The Tykes have picked up a little, winning their last two and will battle, but are a little short on class. Strong home selection for me.

5 points Cardiff City -1/2 ball 1.70 asian line.

Good Luck.
