FRANK DANCEVIC - MARAT SAFIN
The young Canadian came through qualifying and is in very good form on hardcourts, his favourite surface. He made the final in Indianapolis, beating Roddick in the semis and the quarters in Montreal, losing narrowly to Rafa Nadal, he is 10-2 in the last 3 weeks. Safin is at the scene of his greatest triumph's, but that was another Marat and this year has been a long tale of woe.
3 points Dancevic 2.30 + //2.35 Expekt..... a little bigger on the exchanges
FELICIANO LOPEZ - IGOR ANDREEV
Lopez is very well suited by the surface here, which favours his big serve ( also helped by the Wilson balls) and slice. Andreev has no real form in New York and has lost in New Haven and Cincinatti to big serving types. Lopez leads the h2h 2-0 , 4-0 in sets, but both came on clay, so do not mean too much, other than it is hard to see the Russian doing any better, on the Spaniard's favoured surface.
4.5 points Lopez 2.0 general quote.
