I did intend to post a selection on the blog today, but felt unable to in the end. Quite a few of you joined the email service over the weekend and upon reflection, it seemed unfair to make my strongest bet of the day, free for everyone, on what was for some, their first day as a subscriber.
I will make up for this later in the week. Hopefully, some of you took note of my post on Maria Sharapova, which appeared here on Friday (see below). She only needs a Roland Garros title to complete a career Grand Slam, but it is becoming increasingly hard (impossible) to see her ever having the game to win here, to use her own analogy, on clay, she moves like a cow on skates !
Good day for those that took the newsletter plunge, there was a 5.5 point profit on my two tennis bets, the football selection was a winner and we took a position on one of the outright markets, which already offers the opportunity to take a profit. Those were Monday's four selections.
Tomorrow, in addition to the newsletter, I will be sending out Part 2 of my Euro 2008 preview, which includes two 8 point selections, regular readers will know that one is rare, two are about as common as a full house at Griffin Park !
