EPL: FULHAM - SWANSEA CITY
The
absence of Michu (19-13-2) is huge here, he has scored at least once in
all six of Swansea's wins this season, but it is their dismal record in
the nine matches in which he has not contributed, which tell you
just how important he has been, with the Swans scoring just twice and
failing to score on seven occasions. The couple of times he has come off
the pitch for tactical reasons and for the injury incurred at Reading
last time out, he has been replaced by either Israeli striker Itay
Shecter or Luke Moore, neither of whom is a similar player at all. Pablo
Hernandez and Angel Rangel have missed recent starts and if those two
do not make the line up today, I would argue that they were without
their three most important players, Michu has got all the headlines, but
Hernandez is the most gifted player at the club and so much starts from
Rangel at the back. Latest news is that both have travelled, to be
honest, I am still a little dubious, both were said to have a good
chance to play at Reading, but neither even made the bench, so it might
be tough for both to start this afternoon.( Edit: both start) Huge game for Fulham, they
have won just once in eleven and travel to West
Bromwich on New Year's Day and with matches against both Manchester
clubs on the near horizon and only six points above the drop zone, they
could quickly find themselves in trouble. They still basically remain
one of the stronger home teams outside of the top 4-5, with an 11-4-4
record in 2012 and this is a good opportunity for them to get back on
track. 1.5 units Fulham -0.25 ball 1.94 asian line.
Good Luck.
