Nicole Vaidisova won 4 & 2 and once again served very well, winning 71% of points on first and 65% on second serves. She looks set for a very big year.
Jankovic also ran out an easy winner over Amelie Mauresmo, the frenchwoman is still a little rusty, hitting just 50% of first serves, winning 42%.
What is it with tennis umpires ? Why can they not understand that they should only over-rule, when there is a CLEAR error. This doesn't mean when you think something MAY be a millimetre in or out, from 15 metres away. Especially when two points later, you say "I didn't see it", when the incident is right next to your chair ! Carlos Ramos are you listening ?
I will definitely return to the tennis later today and will have at least two football selections, so please check back.
