Two out of three yesterday, which makes it 14/20, I can live with a 70% strike rate.
Loit beat Daniilidou in three error strewn sets, Guincamp and Strasbourg drew at both, half time and full time, so pretty much spot on there.
Bristol City were the loser and they probably feel hard done by, the free kick which led to the goal, should never have been given. City also had chances to get back on terms in the second half, missing one golden opportunity.
Having said all that, Scunthorpe are an impressive, hard working team, with a little quality and great team spirit, which can take you a long way at this level. Considering the players that were missing, this was a fine performance. Despite selling Andy Keogh in the transfer window, they did well to hold on to Billy Sharp, who last night scored his 50th goal, in just 80 league starts, on his 21st birthday. Sheffield United must be kicking theirselves for letting him go, for a fee of just £100k, wonder what he will go for in the summer !
I am looking at two, maybe even three, football selections today and will definitely be covering the tennis from Paris, that will be my next post, which will be online, by 12.00 cet.
Check back.
