WORLD MATCH PLAY GOLF ........

A world class field competes at Wentworth, for the HSBC Championship.

Here is the first round line up in draw order, so the winner of the first match will play the winner of the second, in round 2 and so on. All matches are to be played over 36 holes, so the winner will have played a gruelling 8 rounds come Sunday evening.

CAMPBELL-KHAN
HOWELL-MONTGOMERIE
GOOSEN-CASEY
SCOTT-WEIR
FURYK-KARLSSON
ELS-CABRERA
DONALD-CLARK
WOODS-MICHEEL

Tiger is looking for his 6th straight tournament win he ,along with Scott, Els and new World number 2, Furyk, all arrive in top form.

I like the look of Ernie Els at a tempting 8.0, he is a six times previous winner of this event, winning the last 3 times he has started. He recently helped redesign the course, so has spent plenty of time there, even more so, as he is a member and lives on the Wentworth estate.
With no Ryder Cup concerns, he can give the tournament his full attention.

A few notes, Goosen claims to never play well here. To the best of my knowledge, Furyk has never set foot on the course before and Tim Clark is said to be carrying an injury.

I was tempted to try a little on Robert Karlsson to upset Furyk at a big looking 3.20, but have decided to hold off on the match bets for today. Will just take the outright selection for now.

2 points Ernie Els outright 8.00 general.... expekt/ stan james etc

Good Luck.
