BAGGIES TO THUMP TYKES ..........

West Bromwich Albion have to get back into the Championship promotion race, they have a squad of players the equal of any in the division and now is the time to prove their quality.

They have had very little fortune in front of goal, but you can only blame bad luck for so long, then it just becomes bad finishing.

The Baggies have now slipped to 13th place in the league, 11 points off top position, a win today has been demanded by boss Tony Mowbray and would take them into 7th.

Having lost 4 away matches in a row, they have to start turning chances into goals on the road. In two of these most recent defeats, the stats show that, at Sheffield Wednesday they had 54% possession and twice as many shots on target as the home side and lost 3-1. At Derby, they had the ball for 55% of the game and had 18 attempts to the hosts 9 and lost 2-1 !

They will really thump someone soon and soon could turn out to be this afternoon.

Barnsley have picked up some much needed points since dismissing manager Andy Ritchie, but the fact remains they have a squad a little short of true Championship class. Hard work can get you so far, but to my mind, the WBA players are, quality wise, a full division above their opponents today.

John Hartson is looking to start today, at long last he is injury free and came off the bench to score the match winner last week. This will be his type of game and he should score a lot of goals at this level.

Albion are my confident choice.

4 points WBA level ball 1.70 asian line.

Good Luck.
