The visitors are my confident selection to be in the hat, for the 3rd round FA Cup draw.
Barnet have allowed top scorer and best player Tresor Kandor, to go on loan to Leeds, a transfer that will be made permanent at a later date. With fellow strikers Grazioli and Norville unavailable, this leaves Barnet with very few options up front, it is hard to see where their goals will come from.
It also looks like the VASTLY experienced Andy Hessenthaler, will also miss out today.
Northampton are very happy on the road, only second placed Scunthorpe have managed to defeat them in 9 Division 2 starts, a record bettered only by runaway leaders, Nottm Forest.
They have a strong squad to choose from, will have a large travelling support behind them and have done plenty of homework on Barnet. Boss John Gorman, is determined to do well in this competition and giving up just 1/4 ball on the asian line, they look something to get stuck into.
