Having opposed Sundsvall last midweek, because I felt they would target today's fixture, as the more important and winnable of the two, it is now time to switch allegiance.
The visitors today, Assyriska, are one place and 3 points above the relegation zone and the home team, in Sweden's Superettan.
However, it is GIF who enter the match in much the better form. They are looking for their fourth home win in a row, two of the previous wins coming against top 6 clubs.
Assyriska are in freefall and have collected only 4 points from a possible 30. They cannot come into this game with much confidence and were hammered 5-0, in this fixture last year.
"Giffarna" have a good run of matches coming up and 3 points today will go a long way to securing their Superettan status. This is vital, not just for the club, but the region, which is the most densely populated area in northern Sweden.
