AUSTRALIAN OPEN TENNIS .... DAY 3

I have spent hours looking at the tennis, but cannot find a bet worthy of passing on.

My original idea was to take Sam Querrey, an up and coming US hardcourt specialist, to beat Florent Serra.

The Frenchman withdrew from the Adelaide tournament citing illness, relating to the high temperature. Considering he had just broken back, to level the match in the 3rd set and was defending tounament champion, there is little doubt that he was really struggling with the heat.

As it was 3-4 degrees hotter in Melbourne today, he cannot be looking forward to the match.

I expect Querrey to have a good year in 2007 , with plenty of success on fast courts, BUT something is holding me back and I have to go with my gut feeling, so no bet for me, sorry.

Sure that we will find plenty to put our money on tomorrow.

Good Luck.

Hi Mike,

Yes, I have an opinion about both games, but do not want to give it now and read something later in the week, to make me change my mind.

However, I "plan" to try and cover these games a little earlier this week, as the weekend gets too crazy. So, hopefully on Friday afternoon.
