QUICK TENNIS ROUND UP ....

Chris Guccione served 45 aces, but that was not enough, as he lost 9-7 in the 5th set to Oliver Rochus.

Very strange happenings as Paul-Henri Mathieu retired at 7-6 6-4 6-6 ( 3-1 up in the tie break), handing the win to Fernando Verdasco. My first thoughts were, he must be unconsious and was dragged off the court, couldn't see any other way a professional would concede, 4 points from victory, if he could stand up.

Understand it was an ankle injury and he left the court in a wheelchair, so I was pretty close. Anyone betting / trading this match, has got either extremely fortunate or terribly unlucky and has my sympathy, as does PHM.

Arnaud Clement defeated Xavier Malisse in 4 sets, hooray! The Cornet - Hantuchova match has yet to start and is held over until tonight/ tomorrow.
Back shortly.
