CREWE ALEXANDRA - BOURNEMOUTH

I expected a much better season from Dario Gradi's talented side.

They have several players capable of playing at a far higher level and can carve teams open, almost at will, on a "going" day. You may have read that highly rated strikers, Luke Varney and Nicky Mallard are doubtful today, my information is that both will start.

Failure to claim 3 points will leave them in danger of being sucked into the relegation dogfight, especially with trips to Tranmere and Carlisle, two of the division's top home sides, up next.

Bournemouth have managed to climb out of the bottom 4, with successive 1-0 home wins over Brighton and Brentford, but have not really impressed in either and remain, winless on the road.

They will be without 4-5 players today, probably including very influential striker, James Hayter, who has not trained all week.

Man for man, Crewe are the much stronger team and in Gradi, have one of English football's shrewdest brains, they are my choice to take maximum points.

3 points Crewe -1/2 ball asian line 1.93.

Good Luck.
