A "REAL" CUP TIE

REAL BETIS SEVILLE - REAL MADRID

Betis did us a big favour on Sunday, beating Celta Vigo in a fiery encounter, in which 11 players were shown yellow cards.

It was not enough to take them out of the relegation zone, but gave them great encouragement for the battle ahead. They enjoyed 59% possession and managed 15 shots on goal, all in all, a very strong performance in Luis Fernandez's first game in charge.

He knows full well where his priorities lie and is likely to rest virtually all of his starters from the weekend, saving them for the upcoming league trip to Osasuna.

Real Madrid are fielding a very strong side and will be desperate to return to winning ways, having lost the last two, without scoring.

Boss Fabio Capello, has had the dreaded vote of confidence from the board this week and knows, that despite his reputation within the game, Real are not known for their patience.

A win is vital, less for progress in the competition, than to lift the spirit at the club. They have not lost in 6 visits to Betis, winning the last 3 without conceding, including in the league in September and at the same stage of the cup, last January.

An away win for me.

Likely starting line ups .....

Betis: Doblas, Melli, Arzu, Nano, Romero, Rivera, Vogel, Maldonado, Capi, Dani and Wagner.

Real Madrid: Diego Lopez, Sergio Ramos, Helguera, Cannavaro, Roberto Carlos, Diarra, Gago, Robinho, Reyes, Raul and Van Nistelrooy.

4 points Real Madrid -1/2 ball 2.06 Betdaq.

Good Luck.
