DOWN IN THE VALLEY .......

ENGLAND
CHAMPIONSHIP
CHARLTON ATHLETIC - BRISTOL CITY

I have to oppose City, the curse of leading the Championship hangs heavy over their heads and, once again, fortune favoured them in the win over Hull City at the weekend. The Tigers enjoyed 58% possession and had 14 attempts on goal, big numbers for a visiting team, but somehow, City won 2-1. This has been the story, time and time again this campaign, but it can get expensive, opposing a lucky team.

Charlton got back on track with a great performance in the 2-0 win at Sheffield United, where they imposed themselves on the match early and never looked in trouble.

They can close to within six points of league leaders City, with victory this evening and if they want to secure automatic promotion, then a win is absolutely vital and nothing less will do. The Addicks have collected 7 points from their last 3 home games, all against sides I rate on a par, or better, than City (Stoke , Watford and Palace), although the league table says otherwise.
Expect the talented home squad, where there is now competition for almost every position, to complete the double over the visitors, having won 1-0 at Ashton Gate, in the reverse fixture.

6 points Charlton -1/2 ball 2.10 general quote.

Good Luck.
