BRISTOL ROVERS- HEREFORD UNITED

All West Country FA Cup tie tonight, when these two clash at the Memorial Ground, seperated by just one point and one place in the league, their meeting ensures at least one Division 2 representative in the 4th round.

Both are in very good form and will be looking to press for one of the play-off spots, they will welcome the distraction of a cup tie, but will be aware of the glory and money, progress will bring.

Rovers are a big club at this level, with large support and resources that few clubs can match, the signing of Rickie Lambert for £200k, earlier in the season, is testimony to that. In the league fixture here, the home side had 14 attempts on goal against the visitor's 4 and ran out 2-1 winners.

They have dominated play in recent starts, on New Year's Day they beat Torquay by a narrow looking 1-0 margin, but that doesn't tell the full story. They enjoyed 67% possession and created 17 shots on target. Previously they went to runaway league leaders Walsall and "outplayed and outclassed" their hosts, claiming 56% of the ball and winning the shot count 12-9, no mean feat "on the road".

I am a little wary of the draw, but feel The Pirates should be able to sneak the win, giving up a 1/4 ball on the asian line, looks far and away the best option.

4 points Bristol Rovers -1/4 ball asian line 1.93.

Good Luck.

I've found information thatHereford started playing much more defensively in reent starts and that its showing result sne they didn't concide in last 4 games. On two of those 4 they didn't score.

I want to bet on under 2.5, I have 1.8 in my local bookie. Do you think it's a good bet?

I also heard something hat coulld be important. On Bristol pitch few days ago was played a rugby match, and pitch is in bad condition...is that true? Can that influence this game to be a low scoring one?

Thanks for the answers,

Cetko

Hi Cetko,

I could be wrong, but do not think any rugby has been played at the Memorial Stadium since December 15th.

Of course, the pitch condition makes a big difference, it is easier to defend on a muddy field.

This looks a low scoring affair anyway and the 1.80 quote is easily the biggest I have seen.

Good Luck.

Good call tonight Keith. It was a much safer bet then mine - I layed 5 goals in the Yeovil game - 3-0 by half time and then 3-1 after 54 minutes. Stayed that way fortunately but not a good bet. I wish I had been on yours instead though only one goal in that I see but you had the draw covered. Good luck
