TORQUAY UNITED- HISTON UNITED I favour Torquay here, they made a late and strong run at the automatic place, with just one loss in 16 starts and at times looked possibly the strongest side in the division. They did the double over champions Burton in the last month, including comprehensively outplaying them in the away leg, the 1-0 scoreline not doing them justice.
It is a very long journey down to the West Country for Histon and they will be without suspended keeper Danny Naisbutt. They were thumped 4-1 here in the league meeting, but to be fair to the visitors, they were injury hit that day, having said that, Torquay were not in such good form at the time either. I am a big fan of home boss Paul Buckle, he is very thorough in his preparation and was at Stevenage last night, to watch his potential final opponents, that was a 500 mile round trip to see a game that was televised live and is typical of the man. He admits that he made errors in the playoffs last season, when he was too negative in the home game with Exeter, that was his first season as a coach, the experience will serve his team well and Buckle is unlikely to make the same mistake again and we can expect Torquay to really go for it tonight.
