STOKE-BARNSLEY // BENFICA-PACOS

I have taken two bets on the half time/full time, or double result market.

Stoke are, at least on paper, a much stronger team, usually fielding 5-6 players, with plenty of Premiership experience. After a disappointing run of results, their promotion challenge burst back into life, with a win at Championship leaders, Derby, last week. County were previously unbeaten in 10 starts.

Victory tonight will take them to within 3 points of the play-off places.

Barnsley, who by contrast, are pretty much a Division 1 side, with a few Championship players thrown in, will be without their key striker, Daniel Nardello.

City should win and are priced accordingly, but there looks a little value in them, also leading at the break. The visitors have been losing at half time, in 10 of their 17 away starts.

In Portugal, Benfica will be looking to close the gap at the top, on Porto. They have a fantastic h2h record with Pacos, winning the last 4 meetings, with a 15-1 goal difference.

The hosts are very strong at their Estadio da Luz fortress, where they are 7-1-0 this season. However, in 5 of those 8 games, they have gone in level at the break, turning the heat up in the second half. That is very much their way and the draw/home win, double result, is very competitively priced, under the circumstances.

3 points Stoke-Stoke HT/FT 2.70 Betfair.

3 points Draw-Benfica HT/FT 4.80 Betfair.

Good Luck.
