SOUTHEND UNITED - QUEENS PARK RANGERS

I have to side with the hosts, who are in terrific form, with a series of fantastic results, against the division's better teams.

In their last 5 starts, they have lost narrowly to leaders Derby County, drawn at Stoke City, won at both Cardiff and Birmingham and hammered West Bromwich at Roots Hall. They are further boosted today by the return of McCormack and Barrett, who both missed out last week.

The Blues have targeted this as a must win fixture and have taken every precaution to ensure the match goes ahead. The "cold snap" continues in the UK and the Luton-Norwich game, scheduled for tomorrow, has already been postponed.

Rangers have lost 7 of their last 10, including away games at fellow strugglers Barnsley and Hull, neither of whom are in the form of Southend.

Home win for me.

4 points Southend -1/4 ball 1.92 asian line.

Back shortly.
