Under Brian McDermott, Reading have developed a far more expansive style and scored 17 in their last 7. After winning at Liverpool and WBA in earlier rounds, they will not fear a replay, but would surely prefer to put this one to bed at the first attempt, if only on the basis that lightning doesn't strike twice or even a third time ! They will be aware that Villa have already conceded two to Burnley and Brighton, plus four to Palace and Blackburn in 2010 and those teams are hardly the most prolific goalscorers in their respective leagues. The visitors are battling for a top four spot and still have five EPL fixtures to play this month, last thing they need is a replay.
