US OPEN TENNIS ... ATP TOUR ..... DAVID FERRER - DAVID NALBANDIAN

I feel the surface here, as always, is very much the key and Nalbandian is definitely happier on it. Ferrrer leads the h2h 5-2 , but trails 2-1 on hardcourts, 7-2 in sets, including losing their most recent meeting in Montreal this year, 7-6, 6-1. The Spaniard has never gone beyond this stage, losing in this round the last two years.

Nalbandian has a semi final place here to his name and had a large number of break points in that last meeting. He looked good in his win over Malisse and if choosing to put his best foot forward, which is not as obvious as it seems with him, should win this fairly comfortably. The first set is likely to be close though, last 4 h2h's have all gone to a tie break in the opener, so if you can get a bet on "over" games in the first set, it could be worthwhile. The straight win for me.

5 points Nalbandian 1.92 Betfair.

Good Luck.
