TGIF ...........

Huge weekend of sport, with the conclusion of the US Open, the last Grand Slam tennis event of 2008 and a massive number of World Cup qualifiers.

Organisers and sponsors of the Open must be feeling very pleased with themselves, especially with the mens event, where they have a semi-final line up featuring NADAL- MURRAY and FEDERER - DJOKOVIC, the four top ranked players in the world.

The women's event has attractions of it's own, with SERENA WILLIAMS-SAFINA and JANKOVIC- DEMENTIEVA match ups. As is normal at Flushing Meadow, Super Saturday is scheduled, with the men's semis and women's final all set for the same day, that might create problems this year, none of the matches look likely to be quick and there is a severe weather warning for New York.

I have been very busy this morning sending out a 1600 word newsletter, covering previews of six sporting events, four matches taking place tonight and the other two being decided tomorrow.

We are operating a three month minimum subscription to the newsletter service now, but as usual on a friday, I have an offer and will add a month free to anyone joining today. This brings the daily rate down to below $2.46 , which is a very competitive price. Further details are on the website, or you are welcome to email me, using the "contact us" button on the site.

Good Luck.
