TUESDAY NOTES .....

TUESDAY APRIL 10TH

Probably not the most interesting day at first glance, but I have a couple of suggestions at circa 7.0 and 8.0 and a very solid lower odds pick, but it is the bigger odds that appeal to me more, especially on the La Liga fixture.

A quick word about the double stake maximum bet for tomorrow, you could now back the opposing team at odds against and effectively trade out for an 11-12% profit some 36 hours before kickoff, which is obviously a very strong position, win or lose.

Onto today.....

LA LIGA : BARCELONA - GETAFE

This is the bet I like most today.

Real's draw with Valencia has opened up the title race and Barce can close the gap at the top to just one point and put some real pressure on their greatest rival who face a derby game with Atletico tomorrow and remember, we still have El Clasico in eleven days time !

Barce will win tonight, the match is now too important for them to do otherwise, they will be without Fabregas and Dani Alves is a doubt, but trained with the squad yesterday, but since they won a game playing with one defender and nine midfielders, I have given up worrying about team news for the Catalan giants.

They are priced at circa 1.07 and are huge handicap favourites in asia and they might be seen as needing goals as they trail Real in this aspect, .....

ENGLAND LEAGUE 1: ROCHDALE - SHEFFIELD UNITED

This will be like a home game for United, match is all ticket, Dale supporters had to buy their tickets in advance too, so probably only a 6,000 crowd and over 4,000 will probably be from Sheffield, the 3,500 official tickets sold and the others who have got them by other means. This is a huge advantage in such a small stadium and I have seen what an effect it can have so many times at lower levels.

A point would take United back above cross town rivals Wednesday and into that automatic playoff spot, but the two point advantage would be so useful and only a win will realistically keep Dale's survival dreams alive, so they will not sit back too long. They played at Griffin Park recently and were widely viewed as the worst team to visit in 18 months and it is impossible to make a case for them tonight. I do not like these low odds much normally, but it looks a winner 1.5 units Sheffield United -0.5 ball 1.72 general quote.

Good Luck.
