KIM CLIJSTERS .......

.... has my admiration and not just because she did the splits three times in one rally yesterday, although that is mighty impressive.

She has excelled in a profession where detachment and bitchyness are seen as positives, yet is one of, if not the, friendliest woman on tour and happy to chat to anyone, opponent or fan and probably even umpires.

Kim is going to retire next year, despite still being in her early 20's, there are other things she wishes to do with her life.

Against Sharapova she had chances, but the awesome Russian always found a massive serve, just when she needed it. Today she faces Kuznetsova, who as I said earlier, looked exhausted in her opening match and served a number of double faults. If Clijsters hopes to progress, she will have to win today and can put a lot of pressure on her opponents second serve.

KC leads the h2h 5-1, looks a decent enough price and should feel much happier on the surface, now that she has a match under her belt. The commentators have described the indoor hardcourt as being more like an indoor clay surface, the ball speeding through the air, yet slowing up after bouncing.

4 points Kim Clijsters 1.72 betfair.

Good Luck.
