MAURESMO-HENIN-HARDENNE

I see huge value in the odds on offer for Amelie Mauresmo to take her place in the Tour Championship semi-finals.

To do so, she must defeat Henin-Hardenne today, anything else will see Martina Hingis progress at her expense. JHH has already qualified and will advance as group winner, if she takes just one set against the Frenchwoman.

There is a bigger picture to consider, the number one spot on the WTA Tour, is up for grabs. It is a straight fight between HH and Sharapova, if Justine makes the final, she will end the year as world number one.

So, put yourself inside HH's mind for a moment, how would you approach today ? Yes, you want to win the tournament and yes, you want the #1 spot, both of which take precedence over beating Mauresmo, who should be trying for her life.

I firmly believe that the Belgian superstar will ease off, once she takes a set, or if she falls behind, the last thing she wants is an intense, extended battle.

H2h is 5-5, Amelie won the last meeting, which came in the Wimbledon final and also took their only previous indoor match.

At 2.92 on the exchanges, Mauresmo seems real value. If you are following the match live and Henin takes the first set and her opponent looks strong. Have a look at the in running odds for Mauresmo, she could be a massive price and should be the more motivated of the two at this stage.

4 points Mauresmo 2.92 betfair.

Good Luck.
