SHAMROCK ROVERS-MONAGHAN UNITED

A win for Shamrock Rovers tonight will take them a long way towards claiming the first division championship.

This, coupled with a victory in their final home game on Friday night, would leave only Albert Einstein with a slide rule, able to come up with a scenario whereby they could slip up.

Rovers are unbeaten at home (12-4-0), far and away the best record in the league. Monaghan are easily the worst away, with just 6 points from 16 starts.

H2h strongly favours the hosts, 4 most recent starts were all home wins, Rovers scoring 3+ on each occasion. The first meeting at Tolka Park, back in June ended 4-0, something similar is on the cards tonight.

United are without a number of key players, Farrell, McAuley, McGeown and Finnegan are all missing.

I am going to take them giving up the 1.5 goals on the asian handicap, the 1.62 with Stan James for the half time/full time double result is also a viable option, the choice is yours.

4 points Shamrock Rovers -1.5 goals asian line 1.75

Back later.

Good Luck.
