Amazing performance from Padraig Harrington to take the Open Championship for a second year running, the old adage "beware the injured golfer" was never more appropriate. The Irishman plans his year very carefully now, aiming to peak for the big tournaments and the huge prices he traded at on Thursday morning, will never be seen again next to his name. He is certainly no worse than the third best golfer on the planet at the moment and the confidence gained from a second major title, is only going to make him better.

Harrington has got talent, but it is his determination and fantastic work ethic that has got him to another level, he takes his responsibilities as a champion very seriously and is a credit to himself and the game.

On a personal level, it was a very nice finish to the week, with 8 from the last 10 football bets winning. Yesterday's selections were .........

7 points Casey to beat Larrrazabal 1.83 William Hill .... 1.80 general quote.WON by nine strokes, led from the first hole

5.5 points Kim to beat Noren 1.80 general quote. WON by two strokes, led from the first hole

3.5 points KJ Choi outright 5.60 Betfair. LOSER

6 points New England +1/4 1.90 asian line. WON half stake (1-1) backed down to 1.70

5 points Leeds United -1/2 ball 2.00 asian line. WON 3-2 backed down to 1.68

The newsletter has made a profit in 11 of the last 14 weeks and produced fantastic returns, you can see full details on this link.

The email has never shown a loss over any three month period, which is the minimum timespan I feel it should be judged upon. Even when we had a dire run in March (it happens to everyone), we still produced a good profit over any 13 week period, that included the three poor weeks.

This is why we are shortly to be moving to a three month minimum subscription, it cuts out so much variance that you cannot get away from in gambling and gives a true reflection of the service. The one month option is still there until August 15, so, if any of you want to take it as a test, you had better be quick ! Details are on the website

Good Luck.
