SUNDAY ...........

I have sent out a very big 7.5 point bet on today's football, but am keeping that for subscribers.

SENIOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF

Following last week's main tour event the seniors have been playing their Open event this week at Royal Troon and the leaderboard, looks a lot like this ...

-6 JOHN COOK

-5 BRUCE VAUGHAN

-4 EDUARDO ROMERO

-1 BERNHARD LANGER

-1 TOM WATSON

I am putting up a couple of two ball bets:

13.37 UK TIME BERNHARD LANGER - GREG NORMAN

Norman has had a couple of very high profile, mentally draining week's and he was never the best final day player in Majors during his pomp. He was alreading showing the strain, before a great round yesterday , took him onto the tails of the leaders. I doubt he can reproduce anything like that today and in Langer, is meeting someone still at the top of their game, who has won twice this year and is one of the toughest guys you could ever meet on a golf course. The German is a fine links player and was six times top three in the main event, losing out in two play offs. He was runner up last week and is far more battle hardened than Norman, who plays a very limited schedule.

4.5 points Langer to beat Norman 2.0 general quote.

13.46 UK TIME EDUARDO ROMERO - TOM WATSON

I love Tom Watson, he is a true gentleman of the game and plays these Scottish links courses, as well as anyone in recent history. Tee to green his game has not changed much, however, his putting, especially from short distance, really lets him down and at times, is painful to watch. Romero plays the game with a bit of a swagger, still hits the ball a country mile and is owed one of these titles. He was 4th last year, lost out in a play off in 2006, finished 9th in 2005 and was beaten by a stroke a year earlier. He would be my outright selection, but I will take him to beat Watson, who five shots back, might be forced to go for it a bit too much and his short putting might again suffer.

4 points Romero to beat Watson 2.20 general quote

Good Luck.
