Getting the hang of grass......

20 yo Tomas Berdych seems to be coming to terms with grass, in the 3rd round for the second year running, he has won 8 of his last 10 starts on the surface.

He reached the final in Halle, earlier this month, losing to Federer in 3 sets, showing lots of heart to take a second set tie break after being "white washed" in the first. Serving well at present, he made 10 aces against the world number one. Tomas struggled to beat Santoro in the second round, but the Frenchman is a one off and difficult to play against, especially twice in as many weeks, the two having met early in Halle.

Today's opponent Tommy Haas is very gifted and has some grass court form, but almost none at Wimbledon, in 7 previous visits he has never gone beyond the 3rd round and has lost to Mark Petchey (207) and Wayne Black (149), not exactly household names. Find it hard to see the German as favourite here, his season is sure to be geared more towards the US hard court season, where he has a good record.

Small interest in the Hantuchova-Srebotnik match, that may well go the distance. Daniela holds a 4-0 h2h over her Slovenian opponent, however, all but one have gone to a third set. At Wimbledon this year DH has been taken into a decider, in both opening rounds, so this looks a nice bet. Will "save" on Srebotnik 2-1 in sets also, we are effectively taking 2.35 on a third set.

3 points Berdych to beat Haas 2.16 betfair.
1.5 points Hantuchova to win 2-1 sets 4.00 ladbrokes/ stan james.
1/2 point Srebotnik to win 2-1 sets 5.70 betfair.

Good Luck.
