What a match in prospect .......

..... as Portugal meet Netherlands for a quarter-final place. Big Phil Scolari's side come here on a 17 match unbeaten run and he is looking for a 10th straight World Cup finals win, as coach.

Portugal hold the upper hand in h2h meetings, with only one defeat and five victories in nine. These are two well matched sides, extra time would not surprise me, but I was a little surprised to see the Dutch such strong favourites. Both will be at full strength and there can be no excuses, Van Basten may drop the out of form, Ruud van Nistelrooy, this is my worry about the Dutch, where will the goals come from ? Robben is sure to be well shackled and the only other, in form offensive player is van Persie. I just think Portugal, have more options, sure that Cocu will try to stifle playmaker Deco , but that still leaves Figo, Ronaldo and Pauleta and lots of alternatives on the bench.

At +1/4 ball on the asian line they make a value selection.

In the Booz Allen Classic golf, Victor Chandler offer odds, without leaders, Curtis and Quigley, we can try a small ew bet on Bart Bryant at 8-1. After his stella year of 2005, this year has started slowly, but recent weeks have shown definite improvement. He seems to have added 15-20 yards to his driving and his GIR and putting stats this week are good, with his proven round 4 scoring record he looks the likeliest to finish 3rd, or better.

4 points Portugal +1/4 1.90 asian line.
1 point ew Bart Bryant w/o the front 2 8-1 1/4 odds 123 victor chandler

Good Luck.
