GUILLERMO CANAS - RICHARD GASQUET

Regular and long term readers will know that, Richard Gasquet, is a player that I hold in very high regard. He has the talent to become a top 5 player and just needs to find some consistency.

However, he put up some very poor stats in his win over Sebastian Grosjean, managing just 50% of first serves and winning 42% of points on his second.

Canas had a close looking match with Juan Carlos Ferrero, but played better than the bare result suggests, earning a lot of break points. The Argentine is in good shape, as we outlined last week, in his match against Henman and I made him favourite here, where the medium paced hardcourts, suit his game.

At the odds, I make him a serious selection.

4 points Canas to beat Gasquet 2.10 Betfair. WON 7-6 6-3 profit + 4.268 pts (after comm)

Good Luck.
