SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY- PLYMOUTH ARGYLE

Brian Laws, you remember him, the Simon Cowell lookalike, has done a very fine job at Wednesday, where he has steadied the ship and is no doubt, preparing them for a promotion push next season. The work he started at Division 1 leaders, Scunthorpe, is also there for all to see.

His team face an Argyle side that, in addition to a VERY long journey up from the West Country, will have one eye, or maybe both, on their FA Cup quarter final match with Watford, this weekend. Where they really fancy their chances.

Plymouth will be without Wotton and Chadwick and seem unlikely to take any chances with the doubtful Barry Hayles.

The hosts won the reverse fixture 2-1 and are in fine goal scoring form, only failing to find the net, in an unlucky loss to division big shots Derby, in 14 starts. A run during which, they have averaged 2.357 strikes per game.

I strongly feel that Wednesday will be the more motivated of these two mid table sides and are coming off, what Laws described as, one of their best performances of the season, in the derby win at Leeds.

5 points Sheffield Wednesday -1/4 1.95 asian line.

Good Luck.
