Have to take one "over" today .........

......... and my choice may surprise some, as I am heading to the Premiership and the West Ham- Charlton fixture.

Dean Ashton is missing for the Hammers, but they have plenty of options up front with Harewood, Zamora, Cole and Sherringham. They like to play an open attacking game and have plenty of spirit, no team came from behind to win, as many times as they did, last season.

New Charlton coach, Ian Dowie, also favours an attacking style and with new signings, JF Hasselbaink and Andy Reid to play alongside, top English scorer Darren Bent, they look to have goals in them. Dowie has made wholesale changes at the Valley, they could surprise a lot of teams in the coming weeks.

The Addicks are traditionally fast starters in the Premiership, they have had to be, given the way they tend to finish the season. In their last 6 opening day fixtures, all have gone "over", with an average of 4 goals per game.

Over the same period WHU have had 4 opening day matches, again, all were over, with a 4.25 average per game.

Both side look very likely to score and will be looking for the three points. We can take the over 2 goal option on the asian line, so, money back with just two, which is the minimum I envisage.

4 points over 2 goals West Ham-Charlton 1.74 asian line.
