Crawley Town ........

....... have been given the go ahead to play their Conference home game with newly relegated, Rushden and Diamonds at the Broadfield Stadium tomorrow.

Crawley may still be forced to close in a couple of weeks time, if they do so, the league will carry on with 23 teams. There have been all sorts of "going ons"at the West Sussex club, which make good reading, but are too numerous to list here.

Coach "Saint" John Hollins has had to get a team together somehow, I detailed some of his problems in an earlier post http://ubet2win.blogspot.com/2006/07/brighton-to-defeat-red-devils.html . Seen other reports that he will field a youth team, this is not true, but it is more of a case of who he can get to play, as opposed to, who he would like to play.

Still not certain if there will be protests, maybe even a boycott by the home supporters.

The visitors have to take the game seriously, no good going with the idea that the result could be nullified at some later stage, should Crawley fold. Most of the time someone, or something, comes along to save these clubs.

Rushden have prepared well for this season, former Nottmingham Forest and Barnsley boss, Paul Hart, is in charge and has made 8 summer signings, several, including Chris Hope and Leo
Fortune-West have played at a higher level. LFW is a player I know well, he has limitations, but will get you plenty of goals at this level, Hope was wanted by several clubs, at least one in Division 1 ,but chose Rushden, a very good sign, he has been made team captain.

They had a good pre season, following a 3-2 loss to Reading, they completely outplayed Division 2 pace setters Peterborough 3-0 and then beat two lower league teams 4-0 and 6-1. so they know where the goal is.

This is a fixture Rusden must win if they are to challenge this season, they look to have the class and experience to do so.

Several bookmakers have removed the game, but should put it back up later today, now that the go ahead is confirmed. Anything around 2.0 would be acceptable, current quote of 1.95 on the exchanges, would be the minimum I would take.

4 points Rushden and Diamonds 1.95 +

Good Luck.

Beesrule,

I can't find the Rushmond & Diamond vs Crawley Town match from the bookie. Anything wrong with this match? Chester City just enough to beat Hereford Utd today?

Anyway, thanks again for yesterday match...

Hi Doelyn,

I think if you re read my post, you will see what is "wrong" with the match.

Also explained that it was being removed by bookmakers. At the time it was 1.96 on the exchanges, now down to 1.86.

However, they have just over 3% profit margin there, so the odds should increase a little this morning. Some bookmakers may re introduce the game.

Still think you need minimum 1.95 to bet.

Sorry,I do not understand what you are asking about the Chester game.

If you write again I will try to answer.

Regards.

Beesrule,

Sorry, my English is not very good. I am asking Chester City is safe on handicap +1/4 right?

For Rushmond match, i still can't see the bookie re-introducing that game yet.

Hi,

Well nothing is "safe", but that is my selection.
