US Open Champion Geoff Ogilvy ........

...... played some lovely golf yesterday, he looked very relaxed and totally at home, in his 3 ball with superstars, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickleson.

It would not surprise me if he was very involved come the business end of the USPGA, the final major of the year. Of course Tiger is the man to beat and is a worthy favourite, but we could chance a little on the Aussie.

I also think he should win his 2 ball against Davis Love III, they are at opposite ends of their careers and DL3 struggles to keep it together for 4 rounds nowadays.

Luke Donald is the main British hope, has a lovely swing, played well yesterday and went to Northwestern College, in the area. However, he looks a little skinny for his 2 ball today, comments that will never be made about his opponent Tim "Lumpy" Herron.

Neither made a bogey yesterday, Tim's 5 birdies beating Luke's 4, scores which left them tied for the lead, along with Stenson and Andrade. I accept that Donald is favourite, but cannot agree with the almost 2-1 odds for the well built American.

3 points Ogilvy to beat Love 1.94 20.35 cet 2 ball betfair
1/2 point Ogilvy outright 13.0 betfair
1 point Herron to beat Donald 2.94 20.45 cet 2 ball betfair

Good Luck.
