Short stack is Kim Lowell with 350k, don't feel too sorry for him, all players are guaranteed a payout of $247,399, rising to a $12m first prize. That has a very nice round ring to it, $12m !
Blinds are currently 15k/30k with a 5k ante, Kim will have to get his chips in soon.
So, three Scandinavians and three Americans in the top six. Nine Europeans remain overall, Sweden, unsurprisingly, with three representatives and Denmark, with two, are the only countries outside of the US, with more than one runner. No Brits and no females remain.
I am hoping that someone will quote prices later today, play will get underway at 21.00 cet, so plenty of time yet.
Spoke to well respected Swedish pro, Jan Lundberg this morning. He thinks the 3 Swedes have good chances and passes on a good word for the low stack among them, Mikael Thuritz. Jan feels he still has a strong chance and could be available at a massive price, outside of the Swedes, Jan likes the chances of Allen Cunningham and Jeffrey Lisandro ($2.995m).
As you may remember, Per Hildebrand selected William Thorson for us a couple of days ago, at the time we spoke he also mentioned, Thuritz, so that young man has obviously impressed the Swedish professionals.
Apparently the leader is something big in the entertainment industry, very wealthy and a friend of Johnny Chan, who was seen inside the ropes at one stage "offering advice". Not sure if that is true, but a sign of how the rules are bent for celebrities in LV.
May return to this later should some odds appear. Will be back with one more football selection shortly.
Good Luck.
