It's a Cork-er !
Cork City travel to Belrade to play Crvena Zvezda, trailing 1-0 from the first leg.
The Irish side will be without 4, maybe 5 players, including the 3 best. This means that their chances of turning the tie around, are greatly reduced. Their game plan will not change, they can only defend and hope to steal a goal on the break, or from a set piece. Although they would never admit it, feel sure that a narrow defeat would not disappoint them too much, given the circumstances.
Defending is what they do best, in 14 league games they have only conceded 6 goals and in 37 european ties only 48 , which includes some very difficult trips to Bayern, Galatasaray etc.
They are very difficult to break down and as the Irish play a summer season, will have the edge in fitness. Crvena qualify with a draw and if they score one, will probably settle for that, which is why I favour the "under"option.
The danger is an early goal, then Cork may be forced out of their gameplan, but I expect both teams to start with a slow tempo and feel their way into the game. With the line set at 2.75, we only lose half if 3 goals are scored, just cannot see more than that ...... famous last words.
3 points under 2.75 goals Crvena Zvezda- Cork 1.82 asian line.
I will have another post online a little later, just need to check a few things first.
Good Luck.
