Quick summary .........

...... of how I see Division 1 & 2 this season, no time to do a proper preview of the leagues, but several of you have asked for my opinion.

I get to see a lot of lower league football unfortunately, so have seen most of the teams over recent seasons.

No very strong selection in Division 1 , but Doncaster must go well, they were very unlucky with injuries last season. The Yorkshiremen showed their potential with a fine run in the League Cup, beating Manchester City, hammering Aston Villa and losing on penalties to Arsenal.
They have made some nice signings including, Dyer and Horlock, their rich owner is prepared to pay top dollar at this level. I know of two players that were about to sign on the dotted line for other clubs and he made them an offer they couldn't refuse, both went north at the last moment.

Pre season has gone well, they must go close this season, they can start with a result at Carlisle today and I will take that as my second bet today. Think the Cumbrians have goals in them, but after two promotions, a season of consolidation awaits.

In Division 2 Darlington must go well, I outlined the reasons in an earlier post....

They have further strengthened the squad this week and anything less than automatic promotion will be seen as failure, they have to produce the goods this year and at 15.0 look massively overpriced.

MK Dons with Martin Allen in charge, could go well, they have a very impressive new 30,000 stadium being built, ready next year, with a swimming pool in the changing room ! Very ambitious plans for them, team on the up.

Hartlepool might have been my choice, really like Danny Wilson at this level, but the loss of Boyd is huge. They have a good squad though and were unlucky to go down, simply lost too many players to injury.

Will be back shortly.

3 points Doncaster level ball asian line 2.11

Good Luck.
