GIVEN KEEPING NEWCASTLE IN THE GAME .... BUT FOR HOW LONG ?

I have just watched the first half of the Newcastle - Liverpool match and do not think there has been a more one sided Premier League 45 minutes in recent memory.

United's tactics are non-existent, they are incapable of defending a set piece and they have a world class performance from Shay Given and some woeful finishing from Liverpool, to thank for keeping the scoreline down to single figures !

Somehow, Newcastle have managed to score on the stroke of half time and pulled the scoreline back to 2-1, but this is down to the visitors stepping "off the gas", in the final minute of the half. Surely that will serve as a wake up call to Liverpool and if they get half as many chances and possession after the break, they will win this by a landslide. Joe Kinnear's side look clueless and if he doesn't change things around now, which he should have done 15 minutes into the game, he will probably be arrested for trying to impersonate a football coach !

Good Luck.
