CANARIES TO BE SINGING COME FIVE O'CLOCK ......

CHAMPIONSHIP

NORWICH CITY - PLYMOUTH ARGYLE

City let us down last week, but bounced back in midweek, with a 2-0 home win over highflying Cardiff City. The new signings whom we discussed ahead of the Blackpool game, played well and helped create 14 attempts on goal. They are still in the relegation zone and with a trip to automatic promotion chasing Birmingham up next, simply cannot afford to slip up today.

The Canaries are looking for their first double of the season, after winning the reverse fixture and will fancy their chances against an opponent who has won just once in eleven road games and who are missing a couple of key players, including leading scorer Paul Gallacher who has scored four of Argyle's last five goals. That will rob the visitors of much of their offensive threat and with City already creating an average of 2.5 attempts on goal more per game, that could be key.

Another big home crowd (25,000) hoping to see City to victory and to help suck another club firmly into the relegation mix.

update: Argyle might yet take a chance on Gallacher, who took a fitness test on Friday night and has to return to the club this morning, to ensure there has been no reaction, before a decision is made and the team fly up for the game. There is no way they would risk him for a "normal" match and would surely be better off saving him for the other big games that remain. I am sorry, hamstring injuries do not clear up in a week and this smacks of desperation and could backfire big time on the visitors.

5.5 points Norwich -1/2 ball 2.02 asian line.

Good Luck.
