CITY GENTS TO DOWN 'DALE

DIVISION 2

ROCHDALE - BRADFORD CITY

I rate Rochdale, but they have lost their way a little and also their last two starts, creating very little in the process. Their performance in the 2-1 derby game loss to Bury, in front of a big local crowd, was particularly disappointing and might take a little longer to get over.

City returned to form with a vengance, putting five unanswered goals past Aldershot on Saturday, I do not want to get too carried away with that win, as Shots are a team to avoid at present, but there were several very pleasing aspects to take from the game. Their potent strikeforce has refound the net and two talented long term injured players, in Chris Brandon and especially Joe Colbeck, have returned to the squad. This is like making two new big money signings and Colbeck fills the void left by Omar Daley, who is out for the season.

The timing of their return could hardly be better for Bradford, who are a massive club and attracted over 12,000 fans to see the easy win. Three points tonight could see them leapfrog Bury and into an automatic promotion spot which is a terrific incentive. Everything is set up for a big finish to their season and the confidence gained from the 5-0 win, will serve them well at Spotlands, in front of a large travelling support.

6 points Bradford City +1/4 ball 2.04 asian line.... now 1.95

Good Luck.
