IT'S ALL "OVER" FOR LENS .....

FRANCE LIGUE 2

ANGERS - LENS

Lens are clearly the biggest and best team in Ligue 2, but you can never be entirely certain that they will perform. Last Monday they were pretty dire in the 1-1 home draw with Troyes and if the visitors had taken their chances, some of which were easier to score, than to miss, they would have won comfortably. The week before, they had looked superb in a 2-1 win at Metz, who were in great form themselves at the time. I suspect, that motivation is a problem and that they might only be able to raise their game, for the tougher fixtures and of course, on the road, they are always going to get more space to express their superior skills. Lens have scored in all but one of their away starts this season and only two clubs have managed more goals.

I am going to go "over" the two goal line tonight, as I do not think that Angers will be able to keep the visitors at bay and the home team have every incentive to push forward. After a fantastic run, which took them into the promotion zone, just one win in five, has seen them fall a little off the pace, although three points tonight would see them go above Montpellier and back into third spot. They have goals in them and have scored in 7 of their last 8 at home, notching two or more in six of those, the only failure in that sequence, came last time out, when hosting Vannes. They steadied the ship a little with a 1-1 draw at Nimes, a match they would have hoped to win of course, but the basement club are battling for their life and are tough to beat at home. Angers were also without top scorer Claudel Alo'o Efoulo that day, but he returns tonight and might have benifitted from his mini-break. At least a goal each and maybe we will see the best of Lens.

6 points "over" 2 goals asian line 2.0..... now 1.88

Back shortly.
